Jakub Radziejowski

I've been climbing since the early 1990s. I can't decide if that's a long or a short period, as I hope I have at least twice as many ahead of me. Over the past 30 years, I've climbed nearly a thousand routes, many of them as a guide. In Patagonia, I've climbed Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy, among others, and a virgin peak in the Karakoram. I've been climbing in Alaska, I have completed alpine north faces trilogy (Eiger, Grandes Jorasses, Matterhorn) and a whole host of beautiful alpine routes (including routes as 'Divine Providence' on Grand Pilier d'Angle).

I climb and work regularly in the Alps and Dolomites, but I always return to the Tatra Mountains in winter with great pleasure, both for ski touring and winter climbing.

I have several marathons ("under 3 hours") and mountain ultra-race races under my belt, including the classic distance (170 km) of Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc and the first edition of the BUGT (Bieg Ultra Granią Tatr).

I have completed sociology at the Warsaw University. For many years, I've been writing articles for different mountain media and magazines in Poland and abroad. I'm also the author of climbing guidebooks dedicated to winter Tatra climbing.

For six years, I was the president of the University Alpine Club of Warsaw (UKA), and for another six, I was a board member of the Polish Mountain Guides Association (PSPW). I am also one of the coaches of the Polish National Para-Climbing Team. I am also an athlete of Petzl Poland Team (AMC Petzl).

Over 30 years of mountain activity have taught me, above all, peace and daily joy in each day spent in the mountains and rocks.

As a mountain guide, in winter I climb mainly in Tatra Mountains and a bit in the Alps. I also conduct ski touring trips there. Usually we choose destinations individually with my clients. In summer, I work mostly in the Alps and Dolomites. I ma also spending autumn and spring in rock climbing areas of southern Europe. In my work, I enjoy the most unobvious and less popular goals, those that require extra commitment from me - and it doesn't matter whether they concern climbing, mountaineering or skiing. I enjoy long lasting relationships; I like when my clients improve their skills under my guidance, and when I develop as their mountain guide.
