I was born far from the mountains, but they found me when I came across Andrzej Machnik's book “On the West Face of Makalu” in the bargain section of a bookstore in Pajęczno.

As the years passed, despite everything the world was trying to convince me to, I was spending more and more of my time in the mountains and at the crags with people whose faces have become the most important part of my mountain story. Over the years I climbed, skied, and spent several seasons intensively flying paragliders until, eventually, I became an IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide.

Skiing is my favorite way to experience the mountains. Powder, corn, or even wind crust it doesn't really matter. An early-morning ascent to Kasprowy Wierch, joyful freeride, steep couloirs, or multi-day ski traverses. Beyond every mountain pass I have yet to cross, the world always turns out to be different from what I imagined. I also enjoy climbing on pleasantly cool rock, airy ridges, and nights spent bivouacking under the open sky. I dislike thunderstorms, heatwaves, and small-mindedness. I am a volunteer rescuer at the Tatra Mountain Rescue Service (TOPR) that is an important part of my life too.

In winter, I happily guide ski tours in the Tatra Mountains, the Alps, and other mountain ranges. Early summer usually finds me around Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc - with all the obvious opportunities that brings. Later in the season I guide in the Tatras, and in autumn I head for the warm rock of southern Europe. The nature of each trip and the choice of objectives depend entirely on the conditions and on what we want to achieve together.
